We bow before St Kuriakose Elias Chavara, our patron, who was instrumental in founding the religious congregation Carmelite of Mary Immaculate (CMI) for the spiritual renewal and all-round development of the society. His immense contributions in the field of education, literature, charity and spirituality are venerable.
Viswajyothi Public School is an upshot of a vision by CMI Fathers to proffer quality education, enabling a child to excel in the chosen field and to get enlightened. “Viswajyothi” is named after Jesus Christ, the “Light of the World”.
The school started functioning in June 1991 under the able leadership of the Founder Manager Rev. Fr. Jose Padayatty CMI. The last 31 years have witnessed Viswajyothi progressing by leaps and bounds.
Viswajyothi stands magnificently outstanding in academic and co-curricular activities and has 2355 students and 184 staff members.
