School Hours are from 8:40 to 3:20

The student-to-adult ratio at our kindergarten varies based on the age group of the children:
Pre-KG (Pre-Kindergarten): Ratio: 1:10
This means there are two adults (teachers or caregivers) for every 20 students in Pre-KG.
LKG (Lower Kindergarten):Ratio: 1:15
This means there are two adults (teachers or caregivers) for every 30 students in LKG.
These ratios are designed to ensure that each child receives sufficient attention, support, and
supervision from our dedicated staff.

We have created oura own holistic curriculum designed to nurture all areas of child development. It
not onlyadheres to the statutory requirements of the NEP based ECCE standards but also
incorporates valuableaspects from other proven international early childhood education and
development programmes.
The developmental and educational needs of the children are met through an activity based
programmethat provides plenty of “Hands on” experience.
The focus is on:
• A warm intellectually stimulating ambience that encourages learning through creative play.
• A wide range of physical activities that develop basic motor skills.
• Healthy peer group interaction.
• Fostering communication skills and concepts through language activities and numeracy.
• Acquiring moral values, good habits and a positive self-image.

• Creating aesthetic awareness through music, dance, art and craft.
• Using role-play and fantasy for stimulating the imagination and developing emotional maturity.
• Working closely with Parents to affect a smooth transition from home to school.

The curriculum covers the areas of Language/Literacy, Math, Science, Health, Creative Art, Music,
Movement and Drama.
Reading, writing, word study, critical thinking, problem solving, speaking and listening are
foundational to our literacy program The medium of instruction is English. We recognise the value of
mother tongue in language acquisition and children are made familiar with the language, culture and
customs of Kerala.
In kindergarten math, students begin their adventure by exploring pre-numerical concepts. They
develop the concept of number by counting, drawing, writing and ordering numbers. Along the way,
they realize that addition is all about bringing things together, adding excitement to their
mathematical adventure. Students are also engaged in units of study that integrate science and
social studies in a literacy-richenvironment. Children construct their knowledge and understanding
of the world by interacting with otherpeople and with the surrounding environment. They explore
trees, weather, animals and materials in our world by experimenting with hands-on science
extensions.
Our health curriculum is a comprehensive program designed to provide students with knowledge,
life skills, consumer skills and thinking skills they need to maintain and achieve good health.
In class, children will experience the arts and express creatively through drawing, painting, music,
movement and drama. Additionally, experts in the areas of music and dance provide instruction for
children.

We offer a variety of special programs and extracurricular activities to complement our core

At our kindergarten, a typical day is designed to provide a structured yet engaging routine that
supports the development and well-being of our students. Here's an overview of what a typical day
looks like:

 Morning Welcome and Attendance:Children are warmly welcomed as they arrive at school
and mark their attendance.
 Morning Assembly:The day begins with a morning assembly, where students gather for
group activities, songs, and announcements, fostering a sense of community and setting a
positive tone for the day.
 Snack Break:students have a snack break, providing them with nourishment and an
opportunity to recharge.

 Morning Session (Lessons):Morning lessons, focus on literacy, numeracy and other subject
areas

 Special Activities:Swimming lessons and other extracurricular activities often take place in
the afternoon. These activities promote physical fitness, skill development, and enjoyment.
 Afternoon Nap (Pre-KG):Pre-KG students have a designated nap time in the afternoon,
allowing them to rest and recharge in a comfortable and supervised environment.
 Continued Learning and Play:Afternoon sessions may include additional lessons, creative
arts activities, free play, and outdoor exploration, depending on the day's schedule and
curriculum.
Throughout the day, our dedicated teachers and staff provide individualized attention, guidance,
and support to each child, ensuring a nurturing and stimulating learning environment.

No, we do not assign regular homework to kindergarten students. However, once a week, we send
books home with suggested weekend activities. This allows parents to gain insight into what their
child is learning and provides an opportunity for family involvement in educational activities at
home. These activities are designed to be fun and engaging, reinforcing classroom concepts in a
relaxed, enjoyable manner.

The school provides bus service on selected routes for the convenience of the students.

Age Requirements:

- Admission to Pre-Kindergarten (Pre-KG) requires the child to be three years old as of
June 1 of the admission year.
- Admission to Lower Kindergarten (LKG) requires the child to be four years old as of
June 1 of the admission year.

Registration Period:Registration for kindergarten and admissions will be conducted in August.
