Discipline Policy

It is the mutual responsibility of the students, parents and staff of Viswajyothi Public School to uphold and follow the discipline policy, which constitutes good order in the school as a whole.

The students must bring the school Diary every day with the necessary details filled for that each respective day.
Students must be punctual and arrive 10 minutes before the first bell rings.
Students are not allowed to leave the school premises during the school hours.If for any reason, the student has to leave the school premises during the day, their parent or guardian would require permission from the Principal.
Students must have lunch within the school premises itself.
Absentees must bring a leave letter and this must also be entered in the page of leave record of the school diary. Frequent or long absence will be permitted for genuine reasons only.
Physical Education is compulsory for all students. No student is exempted from this unless he or she produces a doctor’s certificate that discourages intensive physical activity.
School fees must be remitted on the stipulated date. Late payment will be charged. Not paying the fees requested by the school will result in the student losing permission to write the final examinations and receiving a TC (transfer certificate) to join higher studies. Students who have received prior permission regarding the payment of the school fees or who have obtained fee concession are exempted from the above rule.

Prohibited Practices

The possession or use of the following items are strictly banned within the bounds of the school premises

Cell phones
Comics (any kind)
Fancy articles (eg: magazines that are not permitted by the teacher)
Toys (any kind, with the exception being those brought into the classroom by a member of the staff)
CD’s, DVD’s, USB drives and Hard drives (With the exception being those that have been brought in by a member of the staff)
Electronic gadgets (This may include smartphones (or tablets), laptops, portable video game consoles or any other object that may be classified as an “Electronic gadget”)

Students are not permitted to give treats (this may be understood as confectionery solids) to any person within the school premises.
The sale, purchase or use of any kind of drug or alcohol is strictly banned within the school premises.
Causing any kind of damage to the school properties will be considered as a serious offense. In such cases, the parents will have to bear the expenses of rectifying the damaged property.
The use of abusive language, scribbling on desks, benches, walls (etc), neglecting the instructions of the teachers and any kind of misbehavior in and outside the school premises will be sternly dealt with.
Students are not permitted to drive vehicles (with the exception of bicycles) within the campus. Students should not ask any questions to strangers in order to fulfill their needs for the sake of their own safety.
Students must obey traffic rules and the instructions of the traffic assistants at the bus stop.

The school reserves the right to dismiss students whose:

Diligence or progress in studies is continuously unsatisfactory

Parents show little interest in the progress of their ward even after repeated intimation from the school

Conduct is harmful to students
